I guess you just couldn't handle a model that was right of your point of view. 1st Amendment let's her speak her point of view. You may not agree with her or find it offensive, but it is her point of view. On the other hand it was your production and you have the right to express your point of view by firing her.
Looking at it from both sides I guess you could say your were both right in your own minds and that the two would never agree so parting ways was probably the best resolution for the situation.
