Compared with todays models and selling it to sponsors who think it should be cheaper it's not such a bad gig.

Exactly. A decent wedding is Saturday or Sunday only. So the good shooters can pick and choose who they shoot for. The market swings between hacks who shoot at the weekend and rely on an ad on something like Craigs list. And the top end who don't have to advertise.
