In contrast all 3 of the BMW's I have owned have always had little issues. On my my current 535 the passenger side seat belt warning light keeps coming on even when no passenger is in the car, plus the drivers side mirror is out of alignment slightly. Both these will be fixed under the factory warranty when I take it in to get the brakes replaced ( under free maintenance program) later this month.

Also the rear tires only last 18 months before they are worn out. Does not matter how you drive as you cannot rotate them as the car has a staggered setup you can only expect to get 20k miles on the rears. Fronts should be good for 35-40k miles though...
hehe - my rear tires usually last for 2 seasons, i only drive the car between March and November. Maybe 15k miles max. in that timeframe - and every time $650 to replace them.
front tires seem to last forever, i replace them every 5 years.
but i love to go fast and since i am actually allowed to on the german autobahn, i can't resist
