Everyone "hides" what they do to a certain extent. It's not like my neighbors are walking around going, "Hi, I'm an insurance salesman!" "Hi, I work in a boring office cubicle!" "Hi, I mop floors at Safeway!" "Hi, I'm unemployed!"
Does anyone? Where are all these people walking around with "respectable" jobs?
Most people hate what they do. I know for me, it doesn't matter what I do, I'm not telling the fucking neighbors anyway. None of their damn business. As for family members? It's really none of their business either. I don't ask what
they do.
