it just takes one special talent with the right combo of good songs and that special "something" that attracts the masses and this can change instantly. Kinda like Eddie did with VH during the disco days.
would love to see it happen.
That said there are plenty of great players doing great things and with some great music. it's simply not as mainstream these days as in the past.
