See the right has to get people worked up about this stupid shit because they want to reelected and they real have no plans for the fixing things once they get in. So they have get people ,who will vote against their own best interest all worked up over nothing.
They have to block everything because as much as they try to rewrite history with FDR. They know after FDR not only was he elected to four terms the dems controlled congress for 40 yrs. They wont let that happened again. So that's why we get bullshit like this and filibustering everything.
