As for not getting your rate bumped for sending a few hours of traffic, this I understand. Rates should vary and automatically go up according to the number of sign ups you got that month.
I've spoken to affiliates who promised me the earth, if I did this and paid that. I tried it and the traffic and sign ups were never as good as promised. But they never agree to going back to the normal rate. And if you tell them "You will go up to that rate if you send that many joins, it's built into the system, they rarely agree with that either.

Actually those that I was talking about, im not sending them traffic anymore. And if im still sending them traffic it would be because im finding similar programs that convert equally and the minute i find them i switch their ads.
I do understand your point about the "few hours" example. But if i can send 10 sales in 5 hours, why would that change when i send longer/more. I really think in an economy where we live in right now, people should be happy to help eachother make money and charish (is that a word) those that are still able to send sales.
My point is i guess, biz is done fast. And if i have to wait 5-6 days to get a simple custom 300x250, im losing out.
And yes, theres still so many sponsors that dont even have the mostused bannersizes, its amazing
