I think she did it because her Dad would not help her get into Hollywood, name a kid any kid that had a parent in Hollywood that couldn't get a job in the industry even if they were not good if their parent helped them in.
Sounds to me like it was her payback for Daddy not giving her a hand up in the industry . . .
