Back in school I used to have an ftp that just traded .htpasswd files for hundreds of schools.
I managed to unshadow the one at my school, wasnt very hopeful that I would be able to crack very many. So I set my puny 486 to task while I slept with cracker jack. Woke up to 3500 or so cracked accounts. fun fun.
Got a geek friend of mine to write a script that would go through and echo a + + into their rhosts.
I spent the next year sticking homo porn all over fraternity websites and forwarding peoples email to other people that they didnt like.
Forced my univeristy to adopt new security policies. The first being not letting people choose passwords like "12345" "password" "pussy" etc etc
Those were the days.
