I don't think 3d is a 'fad', but the people offering red and blue glasses 3d in an attempt for a quick cash in are missing the point. Noone wants red and blue glasses 3d. As for the more advanced 3d that's out there now, I thought it would look bad, but it actually looks fantastic, I previously thought 3d would crash and burn, I now am merely waiting a couple years for the next steps in 3d tvs to arrive before I eventually buy one.
