As an affiliate manager I actually contact them myself as opposed to them contacting me. I try to give them strategies on improving their conversions. Some listen, a lot don't. The days of plastering your sites with banners is over. You can't expect to just sit there and get checks every week without putting in some extra effort. Affiliates are still just as important as ever. It is just a matter of optimizing your sites to get the most out of your traffic.
