Peter me and you have no history and I dont wish us too... however just so you know, before I come into this industry... pre 2001, I run a sales team of 21 people selling ad space, so I feel like I have a little sales knowledge...
Anyone who writes a book about sales, is going to get rich from selling the book to people who think it can be learnt from a book, which is rarely true !
You posted in another thread where a guy wanted HD content... your ending sentence to him was "I can shoot it at a price you can afford" so if he now says he can only afford $10 a scene what are you going to say ? You said you can do it for what he can afford right... ???
If I was a buyer I would want to know how you know you can do it for what I can afford, seeing you have no idea what budget I have... this to me is a weak start to the good old "how much you want to pay/ how much you offering game" this would tell me I could get a really cheap deal...
It's like starting off a pitch with "I can give you a good discount" when the client hasnt asked for a discount...
I honestly believe you could teach me a lot about taking pictures, I think your work is really good... however you teaching me about sales... hmmmm probably not. But anyways as I have said all along, for those who can do it at $150 a pop, good luck
