I had always been happy with ARS. Made quite a bit of money over the years. Out of the blue last week I get an email announcing that my ARS account is locked due to the following reason: "The last 2-3 weeks have shown overwhelming fraudulent activity". I am a high volume affiliate and push some 200+ sponsors, across all of them I have a very low chargeback rate (was non existent until the industry started going to shit).
So I write back, explaining how I promote them, sites I have their ads on, etc. I also explain I have minimal chargeback rates elsewhere and that I have never participated in "fraudulent activity". Their response is that they are forwarding it on to higher management and they will let me know the status "soon". This was 7 days ago and I still have not received a response. They assure my my traffic and sales are still being counted but I cannot login to my account so I am not so sure.
Though I haven't made a ridiculous amount of money with them, I have done roughly 15k over the past year and a half according to Stats Remote. It is not a good business practice to lock my account before initiating contact given my history with them.
I will come back and update my post if and when I hear back from them...
