Or when Metallica went on tour for "Justice for all". That was at the Long Beach arena. That was the last time there was a metal show there. When Metallica took the stage, everyone tore out the seat cushions and started throwing them around the arena. That was crazy!!
My favorite was White Zombie and Pantara at Irvine Meadows.

I just looked at my ticket stub and it was White Zombie July 22, 1995. Can't remember who opened for them but maybe it was Pantera.
Never was a big metal fan but I'm always up for good times and new experiences. Seeing that kind of crowd for the first time blew my mind.
Another great metal show I went to was the " Monsters of Rock " tour at the Miami orange Bowl on June 4, 1988. I know Metallica was the headliner but I think the Scorpions, Van Halen, Dokken and Kingdom Come played as well.
That concert started in the afternoon and it rained hard for a bit and then cleared up leaving us with the worlds greatest wet-T shirt contest
