It's been a few years... We unknowingly did launch style campaign, had a set end date across several industry resources/forums, shows, mags, everything.. a set of block of money to spend as well. We used unique ads during a time when banners still stood out, had contests and giveaways, went to shows, did parties, all that crap... we went to town in every corner that we could think of. It was targeted towards getting our new product out, our names out, faces, etc.

I can't recall directly if gfy or any ad made it's money back, through the link provided at least.

But I do know we made our full investment back before the year ended. It also provided new connections that still live on today. We had a reason to advertise, something new and good to promote, out of pure luck we created a set cycle of events to happen, not that it all worked out, but because we covered so much ground in such a short period of time, it exploded us into our market.

The last time I advertised was again another unique product, that only I had at that time. We did not have tracking on links for the product, and again we did ads, booth, party, shows, etc all at once but we spend a heck of a lot less money this time around. While the product was an extreme success for us, I really don't think our ads/booths, etc helped much if any with this product. The money would have been better spent on more sales people.

Hope that helps...
