I bought one of those vertical mice --

The only reason I'm not using it right now is that my cat went rip-assing past my desk, got the mouse cord caught around her, and completely yanked the cord out of the plug. Not just yanked it out of the socket, which she'd done before, but ripped the wire out of the plug end. I had to power down the computer and pry the plug out of the socket with a pair of pliers.
It's kind of funny now, although at the time I was furious -- my cat killed my mouse.
I adore the vert. mouse, though...it feels funny at first, but you get used to it really fast, and it helped keep my hands from cramping up and getting cold and cramped. And it was an optical mouse, too, so no cleaning the little ball inside. They kick ass.
