now seriously, I know it's not a big issue for many people, but believe me, when you're in an ultra-catholic society with some beliefs that were old in Middle Age, this is really something. Just imagine how it was here, with children not having school so they could go burn those filthy gay dudes, old ladies ready to make you think Guantanamo is a vacation resort compared to what will they do to gay people. For much less than this, we had air force bombing the main Buenos Aires square (Plaza de Mayo) in 1955.
Either way, we could see (and hear) the worst and the best of our society, this is a huge improvement in terms of laws and human rights, and even though it doesn't affect me in any way (my sister is homosexual but she's not planning to marry any time soon) , I'm very happy and proud we as a Nation took this huge step towards an equal rights and equal opportunities society.
