There is a difference between being a racist and being a group that helps to aid the advancement of a minority group.
Whether people want to admit it or not racism still is alive and well in this country. Just because a group is pro-black (or for that matter pro-white or pro-any ethnic group) doesn't make it racist. What would make it racists is if they purposely tried to foster hate or intolerance against another race or if they tried to deny one race something so that their race could have it. The NAACP helps to fight for equal rights for black people. They do not ask that whites or any other race give up their rights nor to they intentionally try to foster hatred against white people.
I will agree, though, if you were to start a group called the National Association For the Advancement of White People most people would assume it is racist.
