Although I wasn't insinuating anything, I'm sure if the guy thought it was a big deal at the time he'd have said something. Most any dad worth a shit would.

I think what happened was he saw it from a distance, or heard about the story from other beachgoers later, and it was one of those "Well if I had been there at that second I would have put a whooping on that there gentleman!" types of situations.
