Just keep in mind that in some states it's illegal to record audio without the person's consent. That's why there are so many nanny cams without sound.
You may also be in a state where it's not legal (or borderline legal) to monitor a workplace environment without letting the employees (that includes the nanny) know. In some countries like Australia the prohibitions regarding workplace monitoring are much more strict. You basically have to give written notice that video cameras are in use.
