Since I'm at it you'll also have to cover all furn for about a month as the cat even tho washed is still highly transferable for a week after.. if he brushes anything it will still stink. Moderatly transferable for 3 weeks after.. If he lays on something that will need heavy covering for about a month.
After about a week and daily vinegar washings he will no longer be highly transferable. Then you'll just have a little furry air freshener running around for another 3 weeks.
Like I say he will stink of skunk for at least 6 months if you smell him.
