Yeah some cats are better mousers than others and maybe they sensed yours was a softie.

This one is an American Breed (rah, rah rah USA

) (common mixed brown and black, tiger stripes on the face) Which is one of the best mousers and smartest cats. Very independent and hearty cat. Mixed breed I guess.
At 11 he slowed down a lot and cant get the smaller birds or even too many mice anymore. But he is technically so good he still gets a few.

And he is out there now till dawn scoping things out as always.
