I know I posted this poll, but I really don't know how to respond to it myself.

My belief is that the US shouldn't be in MOST countries we currently have troops in.

If we pull out now however, the Taliban (who also control Saudi Arabia by the way), will likely step in and take over. The women will be repressed, education will be virtually non-existent (especially for girls), and terrorists will thrive - possibly using the land to train for attacks against US troops, home and abroad, and likely even against civilians here in the states!

If we pull out under Obama the haters will call him a loser, a quitter, a weakling, etc., and if we get attacked again, and it is traced back to Afghanistan - even remotely - he will be vilified.

On the other hand, there are lots of places on Earth where people hate the US, and where intolerance is the way of the land, so should we be everywhere?

It is unlikely that a stable, non-corrupt government can be formed there in the near future, and it is even more likely that when we DO leave - WHENEVER that is - that the Taliban will reclaim power.

In the end, it does appear to be a huge waste of money, time, and blood - like most wars and occupations.

I'll vote "to leave" just to choose something, and also so I can see the poll results so far...
