I didn't mean to imply you were Canadian, just quoting an experience.

But, at no time while in Canada did I think I was drinking American beer. No way.
I consider the CA beer to be better, even if not my favortie.(Except LaBatts..fuck that shit!)

Doesn't matter if the same company does make it because they will still use a different
brewing process.

Brewers in America have regulations they must obey when making beer and those laws
prevent them from making a beer that would be exactly equal to a German beer.
Otherwise it would be done in a heart beat or imported.

We can't legally import full German beer, the brewer must make a separate beer
under the same label to sell in America.

I only referenced German beer because that is the best known example.
