People play COD and all these shoot em games for hours every single night but its "warcraft" that gets the bad name like people sitting inside all day. That's true, but then again I don't see myself playing any shooter for more than an hour. I love those games, but I simply get tired of it very quickly AND it's easy to just log off.
With WoW it's hard to log off when you're in an instance or doing arena with a lot of other people, because they actually rely on you. If you flake out, you fuck them over and you end up getting kicked out of the team/guild and miss out on the high end gear and stop making progress. So to really get the most out of it, you've got to be online for at least a few hours. But I guess this is a MMORPG thing, not just WoW. It's just very time consuming.
