I was at a show and a simlar incident took place ..this is what happened !
I attended a telecom expo and the highlight of the day was a major phone operator intended to show off its new super smart voice digital assistant...( basically you speak into your phone..ask your virtual assistant to do stuff and she does it , and she can actually have a type of virtual chat back and forth with you.)
The stage was set.....music started etc...and a young eager pretty girl comes on stage with her headset on thats connected to her phone and big speakers so that attendees can hear the full convo between her and the virtual assistant.........all good so far ......
Next she says hi to everyone......she was so eager to show off this tech that she was almost at bursting point......so the demo starts ....
Shes asks the virtual assistant to call her mom..the v assistant replies "I dont recognise your voice..task terminated " ....
and every time she tried to do anything the v assistant repeated the same thing .....then after about 40 minutes of trying to fix things..she announces ok its all good lets try again .........she asks the v assistant call my mom.....the reply " I dont know her number "
you do states the model come presenter ...." no i dont is the reply " ......and for 10 minutes we watched them argue..i kid you not......anyway after 1 hr the girl gave up and left the stage totally beaten and dejected ......
The crowd and myself had so much fun and entertainment it was worth attending the expo just to see it .........
