Problem is that the symptoms of the worst alcohol related health problems don't show up until its too late.
For example.. by the time you have enough symptoms of liver dysfunction to make you see a Doctor, you've most likely got severe and irreversible damage. You can have alcohol induced high blood pressure for a long time and never feel it, then one day.. bam.. heart attack, stroke, or kidney faliure.
No idea how much you drink or what sort of health you're in, but the "I feel fine now so I'll always feel fine" line of reasoning is a bad one to bet your health on.
