Everyone is stunned that a country attacked what is being called an innocent ship carrying humanitarian aid. I don't see it like that. I see this as a criminal action. Their intention was to run the blockade, they were warned not to, and then failed to obey international law when a warship ordered them to stop.

Newsflash - if you take a large ship and sail it from Bermuda to the United States, ordered to stop by the US Coast Guard, and refuse.... Well, at that point, shots are going to be fired. This is just common sense.
Maybe shots would be fired - warning shots, and shots to disable the ship. But as soon as you're boarding a boat in international waters and shooting people on board then what you're doing isn't ok - no matter what. Shame on you man, those were humanitarian aid workers not fucking dogs, you can't just KILL people because they crossed an imaginary line that you set, it's not right.

What were the alternatives? Disabling the ship, waiting until the ship landed and having people there to arrest them, boarding the ship in large numbers and taking the people into custody that way. Even fucking pirates don't kill people on boats, pirates, and they manage to take over boats. This is one of the most advanced armed forces in the world and their commandos can't take a beating with some plastic chairs and metal rods in full body armor? Oh please. Beating them up, disabling the boat, arresting them and putting them through court are all reasonable but killing them? Killing aid workers that are trying to do nothing more than help some people in need...you're saying that that is ok? Come on man, all decency morals and ideals aside you really think killing them was a proportionate reaction to the threat that these humanitarians posed?
