Google Now Offers Encrypted Searches

Google has done it again! And this time, they are giving us encrypted searches. As good as it sounds, Lyla Katz's article reveals that this new feature doesn't work on videos, images and maps. I guess this is one of their way of telling us that they can now offer what they've been doing all along.

All surfers need to do is type ?https? at the beginning of the URL instead of ?http.? This sets up an encrypted pipe between the browser and Google so that any search traffic is kept between the user and Google.
