Who said it was "Heaven on Earth"? Politics aside, I respect Israel for their ability to develop their country basically out of nothing just dust, dirt and desert. Ability to agriculture in the middle of desert with a very scientific approach for instance. Take a look at their neighbors and you'll see people living in poverty not far from stone ages. If Israel wasn't constantly attacked it would probably be an island of paradise there now.
