Not everything you are addicted to will "induce life-threatening consequences" when someone goes cold turkey.
For example cigarettes, and nicotine, other than you might want to kill someone else ;)
I'm sure even pornography can be addicting, in that the activity of searching for it, finding it, and NOT JUST whacking off to it releases serotonin or endorphins and the "user" becomes addicted to those chemical releases much like a runner gets addicted to that runners high, or the extreme sports enthusiast gets addicted to that adrenalin rush.
Now I didn't read this article, don't care to. Using a professor at Brigham Young University as a resource straight off tells me the direction the article will go and I've got better things to do than to be told how bad I am for being a pornographer
