I never understood the attraction? I saw them 2 times, heard hours and hours of bootlegs and even sat thru a Bob Weir concert. There is nothing special on the music level, or lyrically, or even in their persona. I took plenty of drugs to help with show and it made only wish I was seeing someone else. More power to you if you like them, but I could never understand what drew people to them. Bands like the Allman Brothers who are 100x more advanced musically than the dead ever was, I can see their draw. They have ight jams that have a purpose, not like the dead's sloppy go no where Garcia's rants(when he was awake).
I guess everyone has their tastes, but I just will never, never understand them. and all their fans can say is when I say that to them is....."Dude...you its all about the experience"
