Apple made this same mistake in the past and didn't learn from it. They tried to keep the Mac platform closed and the PC took over. Android is already on the rise. They don't learn.
I personally have a love hate relationship with Apple. They make the best products out there from a consumer perspective but as a software developer I would have to say they are one of the most evil companies in technology. Saying fuck you to your developers is a mistake and will be their downfall.

I don't hate Apple, just hate their attitude.
I totally agree with you. From a consumer perspective they make good things but they skip the developers to protect their Istore business model and come up with this anti Flash policy.
We will see how this all will end up and how the competitors will respond to this. Now Adobe will join forces with Google and that can be a good thing.
It would be nice to do some Flash mobile App development and deployment because I think we all could make some extra bucks with it.
