I wish Nokia would make an Android phone. Would be the iphone killer
The worlds best phone hardware company is fucking up their smart phone chances with crappy software.
If they would swallow their pride and make an Android phone, it would be a smashing success. They could still try to push their Symbian at the same time, if they think they stand a chance. Have 2 Nokia departments compete against each other. At least one of them is going to win, and I bet it will be Android.
Instead, Motorola Smart phones are going down the path to failure.
Android is great (I replaced my iphone with a Motorola Droid, but I hate the unnecessary bulky keyboard). A Nokia iphone clone with Android, this would be an amazing phone. They can add some of their own software on top of Android, the same way Motorola is trying with their motoblur. Still gives a solid stable operating system.
Wonder why this does not happen. Probably the Concord fallacy. They invested too much into their wrong smartphone ways, so they go on swiftly on the way to failure.
By the way, the single feature that made me choose Android over iphone? The browser option to "open a link in a new background tab". I go to CNN web site (or gfy), click on 6 links and have all the news (or gfy posts) open in the background with a slow internet connection. When I switch tabs, all pages are already open, no wait.
