true... 2 points
1) I do not strap on any firearms ever... I was making the point that IF I did then I would not conceal that weapon, but make sure it was visible to avoid having to discharge it in the first place. It is harder to victimize someone who has a weapon and knows how to use one
2) I've been trained to use a small variety of weapons in urban environments so
IF I actually had a weapon strapped on me and
IF I was forced by circumstance to draw and discharge it my aim would not be to mortally wound the aggressor but to defuse the situation as quickly as possible.
I should also note that where I live carrying a weapon be it firearm, rifle or shotgun would not draw much special attention. It is rural with a strong sportsman's tradition. In other words just about everyone owns gun and if they have one with them there is generally a reason
