Maybe it has changed then...good on them. I mean, not that somebody that size couldn't buy something in a 'normal' shop but it is a step up.
When I was a fat kid things were so horrible for clothing. We had this horrid shop called 16 plus which pretty much only sold granny clothing and stretching leggings. As if people with fat legs want leggings the cling to their body.
