Prostitution is illegal here, so is gambling, selling alcohol outside legal times, smoking indoors (or under any kind of roof).... everybody living here is breaking the law one way or another.
But laws in Thailand are not meant to be followed, they are only here as an excuse to give the Police and Thais power over you
