I hated where I grew up. It was in the middle of no place in rural New Jersey; The nearest shopping center was nearly an hour away. Nearest movie theatre was forty five minutes. I mean, there was just nothing there. Hometown had two banks, a family restaurant, a pizza place, a bagel place, a five and dime, and a grocery store. THAT'S IT. I couldn't wait to leave.
Now, as an adult, I would kill to live there. It was just so beautiful, such a slow pace, but you don't see that as a kid when your looking for excitement.
