Was this while drinking a 6 pack by any chance? j/k it's a good idea.
Monitizing it is not the hard part. The hard part is executing it. To take it from idea to completion is the hard part. To:
1. find the time.
2. allocate money for it.
3. hire the people needed to put it together (or find even more time if you will be doing the work yourself).
4. Keep your workers on track, and actually have them complete what you invisioned in a timely matter.
5. Testing and more testing to make sure everything is functional.
6. Launching it, which will require more money for advertising.
Then you get to find out if it really was a good idea or not from the response you get from people. If it does stick and people use it, well now you need to either spend even more of your time running the site or spend more money to hire people to run it.
Then and only then if it was a great idea and it turned out to be a success that you can start brainstorming how to monitize it and start making your money back.
I've run that list above so many times through my head for ideas I have come up with, but in almost all cases I can't even get past #1 on the list. Clone 6 of me and I would be dangerous.
