Maui is a <i>really small</i> place- like a small town with an infinite moat dug around it. Everyone is super polite to each other.
If something is fucked up, all your friends, everybody, knows it.
My ex-girlfriend has over 100 family members there. They're well known people. Because of this, I never go there anymore.
The thread makes sense.
