I agree though, most people probably do take him quite literally and many of the right wing fanatics probably take much of his word as law.

I wouldn't change it for the world however... it's free speech and even if I disagreed and hated the content as much as you I'd still never want to see it squashed.

I think your problem is more with the people that watch the show and take the word as law; the right wing extremists. All we can hope to do is educate them (and the left extremists too IMO). Since that's the case I prefer not to call them idiots but instead refer to them as misguided ;) I've seen many an intelligent man fight tooth and nail for an ideal they later realized was incorrect. Sometimes it was hours of debate which changed their mind, sometimes it was a book they read... either way they're still intelligent they just aren't understanding the facts correctly or are two blinded by a set of ideals that they're willing to sacrifice reason at the expense of the emotion which is engaged by that ideal being challenged.

Either way I say educated them don't desecrate them, lol
