I would say right now Its 45/55% in favor of hugo. He throws a LOT of money around and people are always willing to give up some of their freedom if someone is giving you handouts.
Insecurity is rampant (40+ deaths each weekend is the norm in Caracas) , we are one of the biggest oil producers in the world but somehow there are constant power outages, 28% inflation,etc. This is one of the most incompetent govs in the history of the country.
