Maybe because the old people have really nothing better to do than learn new stuff, or maybe they have just seen more amazing technologies in theyr life time than the generation of our parents. I mean when my grandmother was growing up cars were only someting very rich people had, and aviation was only something crazy people thought about, so maybe this internet isn´t so amazing to them, they´ve seen it all before

there is truth to this, old people are afraid to learn,
really old people have nothing better to do and have a more open mind about this stuff,
the only sure fire thing that would get my dad to learn the internet is if my mom let him visit porn sites,
that might do it,
how many middle aged men learned computers jsut to surf porn???
