1 pack a day for about 13 years here.
Quit smoking cold turkey 3 weeks ago.
You know what I did when cravings were bad? Ate tic tacs. When cravings were the worst possible and enough to go up and buy a pack? I took a nice smooth hit of pot.
Pot & tic tacs helped me kick the habit.

It's strange and easy to get discouraged when you hear people say they "miss it" or, "still need one every day" after quitting. I know that fucked with me - but when you go through it you realize that yeah you'd still enjoy that cigarette, but you've regained control over the choice you make
not to. And choosing not to is ultimately what you lean towards.
It's odd, I am REALLY happy to be free of it 99% of the time.
1% of the time I think about how I want one and how it would be nice - but simply don't have the motivation to break my commitment and resolve.
Corey - when I drink I bring a joint with me, step outside and smoke it like a cigarette. Helps a lot.

How many of you smokers reading this thread had the urge to light up at the remote, subtle thought of YOU giving up the habit?

I know that's how I was - whenever I talked about, read, thought hard about quitting, I'd want a smoke right then & there.
Think about that, the hold it can have over someone. Quite ridiculous really. Glad I am free.
