Rape as a whole isn't taken seriously by society. So when anyone in the adult industry says they've been raped, many in law enforcement and society don't do anything because of the typical ignorant attitude they have about "how can a porn star be raped when she has sex for a living". Many of the women, and men, in this industry have said how the police didn't take their rape cases seriously when they went to file charges. Many others didn't even file a report because of their friends who had gone to the police after they were raped and they were treated badly and blamed for what happened.
