Why bother with a collection agency. Send a demand letter, do the reasonable wait then off to court. It's less expensive than giving the collection agency 50%.

If you need an agency that will make phone calls, send a letter and put info on the credit report then use OldDebts.com. They don't take such a big commission and they are based in California.
