You are right

I keep forgetting the difference between the two and associate all 3D with the theater kind. I recently saw on a xbox forum a thread about the AVATAR game that is in 3D and they talked about the glasses you need for your TV as you've described.

With that said, my point still stands that in time they will make the technology more user friendly much like they did with cell phones. I can remember back when people were complaining about having to carry around some 10 lb. bag with them whenever they wanted to use their cell phone and look where we are today
