Think of SMS/phone billing as an
additional revenue stream and don't compare it to your CC sales since it truly is apples vs oranges. Phone billing via mobile and landlines do well in countries such as Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Czech Republic, etc... anywhere that credit cards are hard or impossible to get. Other countries such as Holland and Denmark do really well with SMS as well since it's widely used outside of Adult and natives are comfortable with this limited access form of payment vs something where they get billed monthly.
Paysite owners can use SMS even without mobile traffic, to convert their regular sites. If you don't want to allow members area access, you can offer archived clips and make money from the content you already made CC sales from. No reason not to convert traffic you already have.
