It's possible it could cost the person their job. They may not be able to fire you, depends on local rules and regulations, but they can make it so hard for you to work there you won't want to, or they could bump you and make you a substitue, etc.
One of my teachers in high school posed for Penthouse when she was younger, she had worked for the school for a few years before if got found out. They didn't fire her for it, but the administrators made it very hard for her and kind of squeezed her out.
