You present a false dichotomy here. In theory, you can't disprove my statement of "There is a large teapot on the other side of the moon". Does this mean anything? No - because the likelihood of either option being true/false is not 50/50.
Also, the burden of proof rests upon the person making the claim. There's no need for someone to "disprove" God unless you can provide evidence to support your claim.
Don't get me wrong - I'm sure people get by just fine without going deep into the whole God/No God debate. If you want to believe that someone's looking over you, be my guest. Just don't start blowing people up and stuff, then it gets bad.
